A sketch pad,
a pen and an artist

A sketch pad and pen are convenient to carry about and easy to use in a suitable location for an artist. I often take my sketch pad and my drawing pen with me when I go out and have the joy of creating new art works to enrich my collection of pictures.
The on the spot drawings in deft sure handed strokes and eloquent dots not only give me immense pleasure but are interesting and important records with aesthetic appeal.
The collection of these on the spot pen and ink sketches and studies grow day by day and become a pictorial diary.
This pictorial diary is not only a record of my personal impressions, it is a part of the cultural heritage of humankind.
The rural area in the Himalayan foot hills provide ample subjects for sketching. The land and people of this area are recorded through my creative presentations of pen and ink studies. Each picture reminds me of special moments of artistic gratification.
The scenario may change with time and these moments of artistic gratification may become a part of nostalgic remembrance, but the relationship of an artist with the land and people of this sub-mountainous rural area created through these drawings will remain.
